There are 3 main methods of teeth whitening:
-Home whitening
-in surgery or laser whitening
-Combination whitening

Home whitening involves making custom made thin mouthguards, then we provide you with a kit to take home. This kit contains instructions, whitening gel and desensitising swabs (if required). You then fill the trays with the gel and wear them, preferably over night, for 14 consecutive nights. The improvement can be significant and long lasting. This is the least costly of the methods (£399) and is the one we usually recommend.

In surgery or in office whitening is a one to one and a half hour appointment where we apply a whitening gel to the teeth. The main advantage of this method is that it is quicker than the home whitening, but there are several disadvantages. Firstly it is proven not to be as effective as home methods. It is more costly (£450), and you will need to have this re done in the future, so future costs are more.

Combination whitening. This is a combination of the home and in surgery methods. It is the most effective method of whitening teeth, and has all the benefits of home whitening. It is the most expensive of the 3 at £595, but we generally only recommend this technique when we need significant improvements.

As well as Enlighten We are now stocking a new brand of whitening called Nite white 10% and 16% syringes these will be on sale at the practice for £19.99 per syringe. Please contact the practice for more info.
